I have graduated from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam in the year 1975 and acquired my master’s degree in medicine from the same alma mater in 1978. Later on I did my M.Sc., in Medical Research from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, in 1984. I have worked in the Indian Council of Medical Reearch at Chennai, for 10 years from 1979 to ’89. I then started my own solo practice in 1989 and I’m currently engaged in active consulting practice. I am an elected fellow of the International Medical Sciences Academy (FIMSA) and also Fellow of the College of General Practitioners (FCGP). I am awraded the honorary visting professorship by the CGP. Recently, I am awarded FRCP from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, UK. Also, I am awarded the FCCP – Fellowship of the American College of Chest Physicians (USA).
