About Dr Sarma

Hi, my name is Dr. Sarma and I created this website with the primary objective of providing on the web the resources on medicine and philosophy developed and accumulated by me over the past 20 years. I am a Consulting Physician and Cardio-Metabolic and Chest specialist, practising clinical medicine at Tiruvallur, near Chennai, India.

I graduated from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam in 1975 and acquired my Master's degree in Medicine from the same alma mater in 1978. I later completed my M.Sc. in Medical Research from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1984, and worked at the Indian Council of Medical Research, Chennai for 10 years from 1979 to 1989.

Learning new things and teaching whatever little I have learnt has always been a passion and pleasure for me. Though not a medical teacher by position, my CME programme activities across many forums have made me a competent teacher. I have presented on more than 140 different medical topics to date.

The other facet of this website mirrors my interest in philosophical works and literature. Reading is also my passion, and I have transformed acquired knowledge into presentable forms for others. The philosophy section is a result of my vivid exposure to the holy scriptures.
