CKD is like an iceberg. We see only 10% of the manifest cases of CKD. Early diagnosis and CKD staging is crucial to prevent progression of CKD to ESRD (renal failure). Diabetes and Hypertension account for >80% of CKD. Microalbuminuria test and estimating GFR are essential for staging of CKD.
